The purpose

If all members of an organization know the organization's Purpose change can happen faster and with more focus.

The Purpose stands above all. The Purpose is my buddy. When I'm taking decisions or when we take decisions as a team we consult the Purpose and decide based on the Purpose.

The Purpose has two components

  • The external part (focused towards the customers)
  • the internal part (focused towards the team members)

How to Check a purpose

  • A customer comes with an unusual request. Does looking at the purpose help?

  • You are planning to hire a person. Does the purpose help you to find the right people?

  • You are planning an investement. Does the purpose help you take a good decision?

  • You need to downsize your company. Does the purpose help you find out how to do it?
